Women's Super Cup: Hasaacas share spoils with Fosu Royal Ladies

Hasaacas Ladies failed to make it two wins in two games at the ongoing Women's Super Cup following the game against Fosu Royal Ladies.

The Takoradi-based side fought from a goal down to seal a point in their second game in Group A.

Fosu Royals took the lead inside the first minute of the game, handing Hasaacas their first goal conceded in the tournament.

The Hasmal Ladies were a bit settled after conceding and began to find spaces behind their opposition.

However, they had to wait until the 23rd minute when Comfort Owusu was fouled in the box, leading to a penalty. The resulting advantage was taken by Belinda Kpoglo, who made no mistake from the penalty spot to make it 1-1.

Despite the changes made in the second half, Hasaacas were unable to go ahead in the game, with Veronica Baah Kumah and Jennifer Awuku missing glorious chances to put Raymond Fenny's side ahead.

Hasaacas stay in second position with four points from two games, having beaten Jonina Ladies in their opener, while Fosu moves to third position after the draw.

Hasaacas face group leaders FC Savannah in their final group game on Sunday, September 27, with a place in the final up for grabs.
