REPORT: ARMY LADIES 1-2 HASAACAS LADIES
Milot Pokuaa and Belinda Kpoglo were both on the scoresheet in the game as Hasaacas Ladies secured their first win of the 2026/27 Women's Premier League season. The Hasmal Ladies battled hard in a fractious game as they claimed a 2-1 victory on the road against Army Ladies to kickstart their new season.
We created enough chances in the opening 25 minutes of the game, but the decision-making in the final third of the pitch meant our opener was delayed.
However, Milot and Comfort Owusu combined for the second time in a week to give us the lead at the Mats Park in Teshie against a resilient Army side.
Hasaacas continued dominating other departments of the game but were unable to add to their lead as they went into the break with a one-goal lead.
After the break, Comfort won for the team a penalty after beating her marker before drawing a foul in the 59th minute. Belinda converted the resulting advantage.
The home side were presented with an opportunity to draw level minutes later, scoring from the spot to make it 2-1.
Despite a spirited attempt in the dying minutes of the game, Army were unable to draw level as we picked up all three points on matchday one.
We will now turn attention to the next league game against Jonina Ladies in Takoradi next weekend.
